Infant Care Program

At Kids Country by BrightPath, our Infant Program is designed to provide a warm, nurturing environment where every baby receives personalized care from day one. We recognize that every child develops at their own pace, and every family has unique routines and preferences. That's why we take the time to get to know both you and your child before they begin their early learning journey with us.

To help your baby feel comfortable, we encourage families to visit the classroom before their first day. Building strong relationships with both parents and children allows our educators to understand your infant's feeding, sleeping, and daily routines, creating a smooth and reassuring transition from home to child care.

Rather than following a one-size-fits-all schedule, we respect each infant's individual needs. Feeding, naps, playtime, and daily care are tailored to your baby's own routine whenever possible.

Complimentary Diapers & Wipes

To make your daily routine a little easier, Kids Country by BrightPath provides diapers and wipes for infants during their first year in our program. It's one less thing for busy families to pack each morning, giving you more time to focus on what matters most.

A Personalized Early Learning Curriculum

Our infant curriculum is built around play, exploration, and meaningful interactions that support every stage of early development. Learning experiences are thoughtfully planned around age-appropriate themes while remaining flexible enough to meet each child's individual interests and developmental milestones.

Throughout the day, our educators observe each infant's progress and use those insights to create engaging experiences that encourage cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and language development.

Daily activities may include:

  • Sensory exploration
  • Music and movement
  • Storytime and language-rich interactions
  • Art experiences
  • Tummy time and physical development
  • Outdoor exploration, weather permitting

Every activity is designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Supporting Every Developmental Milestone

As infants grow, our educators encourage the development of important physical skills through purposeful play and responsive interactions. Children are supported as they learn to lift their heads, roll over, sit independently, crawl, pull themselves up, and eventually take their first steps.

Our classrooms also provide opportunities for sensory discovery, creative expression, and activities that strengthen fine and gross motor skills while building confidence.

Building Early Communication Skills

Language development begins long before a child's first words. Our educators create language-rich environments by talking, reading, singing, and responding to children throughout every part of the day—from playtime and outdoor exploration to feeding and diaper changes.

To further support early communication, children are introduced to a selection of basic American Sign Language (ASL) signs. Using simple signs alongside spoken language helps infants communicate their needs before they are able to speak.

Research has shown that introducing sign language during infancy can:

  • Help children express their wants and needs earlier
  • Reduce frustration by improving communication
  • Strengthen confidence and independence
  • Foster stronger connections with parents and caregivers
  • Reinforce language development through visual and physical learning
  • Support the development of verbal communication skills

We encourage families to use the same signs at home, creating consistency between home and school and helping children communicate confidently in both environments.
